ACR Phone does not charge any additional fees for using third-party transcription services. However, some services may require their own subscription or usage-based billing. Please check the respective provider's pricing and terms.
Available on all Android devices running Android 12 and above. This option works entirely offline on your device, but it is relatively slow and less accurate. Transcription time is typically close to the duration of the recording.
A more advanced alternative to the Android SpeechRecognizer, powered by Google’s AiCore service. It runs fully offline on-device and generally offers improved results. However, it is currently limited to a small set of supported devices and may require opting in. Performance can still be slow, and transcription time is often similar to the recording length. Requires an API key from Google AI Studio. This service offers a daily free tier with usage limits and supports audio files up to 20MB in formats including AAC, FLAC, MP3, MPA, MPEG, MPGA, MP4, OPUS, PCM, WAV, and WEBM. It can identify multiple participants and diarize recordings.
Requires an API key from OpenAI. Supports audio files up to 25MB in MP3, MP4, MPEG, MPGA, M4A, WAV and WEBM formats. It can identify multiple participants and diarize recordings. Learn more in the official documentation.
